Is it that time of year again? Indeed it is, but this time its just that little bit extra special as we bring you the fifth annual Housing Excellence Awards.

Yes, thats five years of recognising and celebrating the achievements of the nations leading social landlords, house builders, contractors and suppliers.

To mark this anniversary celebration, well be welcoming guest speaker Michael Eavis to explain why this years Glastonbury Festival wont just feature mud and music but the national importance of affordable housing. What better way then, than to flag it up at the pre-eminent housing awards event?

The judges are looking for companies or organisations who can demonstrate ‘the customer comes first’ approach.Housebuilder of the YearIn this category the judges are looking for innovation in design, build quality, use of modern construction techniques, customer service, safety record, commitment to building sustainable communities%26amp;eco-friendly practices with minimal environmental impact.Partnering Scheme of the YearThe judges are looking for involvement of local people %26amp; other partners including tangible evidence of successful collaborative working and long-term commitment to an inclusive and open partnership.Regeneration Scheme of the YearIn this category the judges are looking for a contribution to a wider strategy for sustainable communities, contribution to training and job opportunities for local residents, mix of tenure, and also for a development which is completed to a point where there is a record of success with demonstrable results bringing significant change to an area.Social Landlord of the YearThe judges are seeking a winner who has shown not only commitment to providing a first rate service to tenants, but also to improving that service continually.Subcontractor of the YearThe judges here are looking for a subcontractor who has consistently shown technical ability, excellent health %26amp; safety record, innovation, delivery on time and within budget, customer satisfaction and consideration for the public.Supplier of the YearThe judges are looking for a comprehensive range of products %26amp; services, reliability, flexibility, customer service, trust, mutual understanding, high calibre of staff, environmental impact and savings offered through long-term partnering.Tenant Care Scheme of the YearIn this category the judges are looking for commitment to tenant involvement and participation; identifying %26amp; constantly monitoring tenant needs, and encouraging integrated communities.
