The most successful South African Paralympic team arrives home at 7am on Saturday morning. Like the Olympic closing ceremony, the 13th Paralympic Games ended in spectacular fashion. All the disabilities featured during the ceremony while the song and dance had a taste of pop culture to it signalling the hand over to 2012 Games hosts, London.

During the ceremony, Natalie du Toit was presented with the Whang Youn Dai Achievement Award for her achievements in life through sport and the Paralympics. Du Toit won five gold medals in Beijing. She and triple gold medallist Oscar Pistorius were two of the stars of the games and the two will also set London alight in four years time.
