BEAUTY salon owner, Elizabeth Hickson, raised the curtain on her new-look premises in Nantwich Road at Crewe with help from the cast of Jack and the Beanstalk.
They visited after their Thursday matinee performance and mingled with visitors as they enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine.
Company manager, Kevin McGreevy from Wish Theatre Ltd, which is staging the production, said: “Liam who plays the ‘Biggest Giant in Land’ has to wear a very heavy costume and has to receive massages as part of his contract.
The salon has been helping to keep South Cheshire women – and men – looking their best for 15 years but has doubled in size after taking over premises next door.
Treatment rooms have doubled from five to 10 and a new gift shop on ground floor level is doing excellent trade with scarves, gloves, candles, cosmetics and costume jewellery being sold for Christmas.
Elizabeth, who also has salons in Nantwich, Sandbach and Cranage Hall, said: “I was thrilled with the turn-out on the open day. There was a steady stream of clients and it was quite a surprise for them to meet all the panto cast.”
Open day activities also included beauty demonstrations of Clarins, Guinot, Caci and Karen Herzog facials as well as a raffle for Breast Cancer Research.
