Curtain To Be Dropped In Style

Racing aside, one of the highlights of the evening will be the return of that great stunt man Deon de Waal, who will be remembered for his exploits at the old Goodwood Show Grounds. This time he is going to jump through a high sided, pantechnicon trailer.

As far as the racing is concerned, Johan Spies has shown he is the man to catch in the Speedpro V8 class. However, Richard Stassen, Ryan Steyn and Marcel “Kosie” Weyers are not far behind and it could be their turn on Saturday.

Another good turnout of cars and drivers is expected in the 1660 Rite Auto Electric class, where Zack Groenewald has been surprising everyone with the speed of his Alfa Romeo.

His closest challenge is likely to come from Stephan Heydenrych who managed to beat him in one event during the November meeting.

Only one point separates Ettiene du Plessis and Johan Spies in the Hot Rod class and this one could go either way.

Although Russel Ormerod is the championship leader in the 2,1 litre Ace Doors class he was made to work hard by Pieter Swanepoel who actually out-scored him at the last meeting.
