Curtain to rise on Spotlight Players South Pacific

Temescal Canyon High School Spotlight Players invite Canyon Lakers to spend “Some Enchanted Evening†in Bali Ha’i as the group performs one of the greatest musicals of all times, “South Pacific,†by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
Critics have called the Tony-winning musical “South Terrific†and, despite the harsh realities of WWII, audiences are guaranteed to fall in love with a “Cockeyed Optimist,†while waging war on racial prejudice.
The young naive U.S. Navy nurse from Arkansas, Nellie Forbush, is played by Erica Czack, who recently won a Long Beach Theater Festival award, and Katinka Didrichsen, who also appears as Ensign Dinah Murphy.
Nick Tousseau plays French plantation owner Emile de Becque. Spencer Hardesty and Kayla Rodriquez play the star-crossed lovers, Lieutenant Joe Cable and Liat. Kayla Parker is playing Bloody Mary, Kevin Ruiter plays the role of Luther Billis, Kevin Gibson is playing Stewpot and Justin Beals is the Professor.
