A crowd filled with gold, all to watch a team who’s season, thus far, has been paved with it. “They’re fabulous. It’s so exciting I’m so glad,” says Shocker Fan, Nancy Welshimer.
“Everybody likes to watch somebody who’s winning and doing well,” says Steve Smith. Season ticket holder, Ruth Ann Ellis adds, “We just couldn’t wait for tonight.
WSU is hosting this year’s Missouri Valley Tournament, and with the shocker maniacs in full force, fans were hoping the team gets served the recognition, they say, the players have earned.
Season ticket holders admit Charles Koch Arena got more crowded as the number of wins got higher. And going into this tournament as the number one seed, some felt they could see the biggest crowd to date.
Ellis tells us, “They took the curtain down at one point so that would be fun if they had to take the curtain down.”
The excitement of what has been a perfect season, spiking right here at home.
