New York City BalletColiseum, London WC2Two new programmes enter the New York City Ballet repertory at the London Coliseum this week - shown in tandem with the evenings devoted to Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights a quadruple bill features works recently made for the company by Peter Martins, Christopher Wheeldon, Alexey Ratmansky and Mauro Bigonzetti. On Wednesday, Thursday and next Saturday a “Broadway” programme features Balanchine’s Tarantella and Western Symphony - though their relevance to Broadway escapes me - together with Robbins’ West Side Story Suite and Peter Martins’ Thou Swell , which is a homage to Richard Rodgers. www.eno.org, 0870 145 0200, to March 22, except MondaysRoyal BalletRoyal Opera House,London WC2Our own dear national ballet plays Sylvia tonight and then offers its view of The Sleeping Beauty on Monday (with Tamara Rojo and Federico Bonelli in charge), with another chance on Wednesday for you to see its newest quadruple bill of Robbins’ Faun , Balanchine’s Tzigane , a creation from Christopher Wheeldon, and Ashton’s A Month in the Country . www.royaloperahouse.org, +44 (0)20 7304 4000, except Good FridayFlamencoSadler’s Wells, London EC1Sadler’s Wells brings an end to its Hispanic fire and fury tomorrow.
